Phalocallis (Greek words referring to the delicacy of the cone formed by the crests). Iridaceae. Referred by Baker and others to Cypella. The plant offered as P. plumbea, Herb., by Dutch bulb-growers is Cypella plumbea, Lindl., a South Brazilian species described in Volume II, page 940. B.M. 3710 (flowers chiefly lilac). F.S. 4:395 (chiefly light blue); 14:1466 (flore striato, veined and flushed with rich purple shades on a white ground). CH
