Pithecolobium tortum, Mart. A shrub or small tree, glabrous or pubescent: lvs. 2-5-pinnate; lfts. 5-9-pinnate, oblique, oblong, 1/4 -1 /2 in long: calyx less than a line long; corolla about }^in. long: pod curved or almost circular, about 6 in. long, 1/2 - 2/3 in. broad.
