Heuchera rubescens, Torr. Acaulescent: height 8-15 in.: scape usually leafless: lvs. kidney-shaped or round- cordate, perfectly glabrous or sometimes slightly glandular, thick and often shining: sepals pinkish, green-tipped; petals almost twice as long as the sepals, linear-oblanceolate. Mountains of Utah and New Mex. to Ore and E. Calif. — Useful for the alpine-garden.
