Lonicera iberica, Bieb. Much-branched upright shrub, to 6 ft.: branchlets pubescent: lvs. roundish-ovate or ovate, acute or obtusish, cordate or rounded at base, grayish green, ciliate, pubescent on both sides, ¾-1 1/3 in. long: fls. short-stalked; bracts leafy, exceeding the ovary; corolla yellowish white, changing to yellow, finely pubescent, ½ in. long: fr. bright red. June; fr. in Sept. Transcaucasia, Persia. Var. microphylla, Dipp. Lower: lvs. ½ - ¾ in. long.
