S. Afr.— Offered abroad and also in S. Calif. Var. Lindemuthii, Hort., said to be a graft-variety procured by working M. capense on Abutilon Thompsonii: lvs. 3-lobed, yellow-variegated: fls. small, rose-red shaded violet. See also Kitaibelia Lindemuthii, p. 1738. It is doubtful whether M. capense is in cult.; the plants passing under this name may be M. hypomadarum.
