Odontoglossum constrictum, Lindl. Lvs. linear-lanceolate, elongate: panicle long, slender, loosely branched; fls. 1-1¼ in.; sepals and petals nearly similar, oblong- lanceolate, acuminate, bright yellow, blotched with orange-brown; labellum fiddle-shaped, with rounded or truncate, apiculate blade, white, with a rose-colored blotch on each side, toothed. Venezuela. B.M. 5736.— Small-fld., but a profuse bloomer, often bearing 4-5 many-fld. panicles 1-1½ ft. in length. Var. castaneum, Hort. Spots on sepals and petals covering nearly the entire surface. I.H. 35:66.
