The genus was named in [[1868]] by [[Ferdinand von Mueller]] in honour of  [[Richard Temple-Grenville, 3rd Duke of Buckingham and Chandos|Richard Grenville]], the [[Duke of Buckingham]].&lt;br /&gt;
