It is an [[annual plant]] growing to 10–50 cm in height. The [[leaf|leaves]] are palmately compound with 6–10 leaflets, each leaflet 1–4 cm long and 5–10 mm broad, on a 2.5–7 cm long petiole. The [[flower]]s are magenta to dark pink, 7–10 mm long, produced 20–50 or more on a tall spike.&lt;br /&gt;
