St. short, thick: lvs. very thick, 6-12 in. long, notched: raceme dense, cylindrical, about as long as the lvs., nodding: sepals white, cuneate-ovate, subacute; petals narrower, with few purple spots at the base; labellum cuneate, obtusely 3-lobed, with 2 pubescent ridges at the base, terminal lobes bright shining purple.
