These effects are due to the presence of a complex mixture of [[ibogaine|iboga alkaloid]]s such as [[voacangine]], [[vocamine]], [[vobtusine]], [[amataine]], [[akuammidine]], [[tabersonine]], [[coronaridine]] and [[vobtusine]].
