Hydrophyllaceae. Northwest American tufted perennial herbs with scapes bearing solitary, rather large whitish flowers, ¾ inch or less long. The nearest allied genera of recognized garden value are Phacelia and Eminenanthe, which are very distinct in color of flowers, general appearance and cymose inflorescence.
