April, May. New Mex., White and Sacramento Mts.—This is one of the most beautiful and the most strikingly distinct of the American roses. The fact that it flowers in its native habitat, according to the writer's observation on the Sacramento Mts., New Mex., freely a second time in Aug. indicates a horticulturally valuable trait.
