Currently this plant is in the process of domestication as a cut flower in [[Israel]] due to its inflorescences. <br /> ''Scilla hyacinthoides'' is a bulb plant. It flowers in March - April with bluish-purple flowers on 50-80 cm high flowering stalks. {{Inc| Scilla hyacinthoides, Linn. (S. parviflora, Salisb.). Hyacinth Squill. Lvs. 10-12, spreading, 1-1 1/2 ft. long, 1/2 – 1 1/4 in. broad, narrowed at both ends, minutely ciliate-denticulate on the margins: scape straight, long: racemes many-fld., broad, open: pedicels long, 1-1 1/2 in.: bracts whitish, minute, persistent; perianth bluish lilac, open, campanulate.
