Quite similar to ''[[Zygopetalum mackayi]]'' Petals and sepals are fleshy. Heavily dappled with dark maroon-purple. Fan-shaped labellum. Labellum white with dark lilac streaking. Up to 6 blooms. Blooms are 3in (8cm) wide. Blooms on thick upright spikes. {{Inc| Zygopetalum intermedium, Lodd.
