Leaves nearly radical, petioled, crenate: peduncles scape-like, simple: fls. racemose at the top of the scape or spicate, solitary at the axils of the bracts, nodding, blue; calyx 5-parted, segms. narrow; corolla-tube exserted, cylindrical, limb 4-lobed, erect-spreading; stamens 2: caps. acute, septicidally and loculicidally dehiscent, 4-valved.—About 8 species.
