Chives are a very easy to grow virtually anywhere, are perennial, and make a nice addition to countless dishes - from salads to soups and meals... as well as of course the baked potato. The pink-purple flowers are an added bonus, and come a couple of times a year.(more...)

The Freesia is a popular garden plant with a strong perfume which naturalizes easily in frost-free areas. Grown from corms or seed, these plants can do well indoors in pots in a windowsill or in the garden, dug up each winter in colder areas. Flowers range from red, orange, yellow, and white to purple, including multicolors, and come in single or double forms.(more...)
