Growing some of your own food will not only save you money and taste much better, it's also much better for the environment.  Why?  Most groceries are shipped hundreds or thousands of miles, resulting in a pollution.  Non-organic foods also use pesticides and fertilizers, while those you've grown will have no surprises.  So get out your trowel and plant some edible plants!
