Confidor is a systemic insectside available from Yates in New Zealand that is used to kill sucking insects such as aphids, mealy bugs, scale, whitefly and thrips.

It is claimed to be soft on predatory animals such as ladybirds and hover flies.

Directions

Spray onto infected plants, ensuring a good coverage of both tops and undersides of leaves. A repeated spraying after 8-10 days is recommended.

Precautions

There is a withholding period of three days for all fruit and vegetable crops.

It is recommended that you spray after sunset, to ensure that bees are not harmed while spraying, as they will not be active during hours of darkness.

Avoid spraying onto blooms or flowers in direct sunlight, as this can cause them to burn.
