Unarmed or with very small prickles, with slender creeping sts., evergreen: lvs. simple, nearly orbicular, 5 or 6 in. either way, cordate at base, slightly 3-5-lobed, white-tomentose and rusty along the nerves beneath, glabrous and metallic green above: fls. 1/2in. or more across, the petals roundish, white, exceeding the sepals: fr. yellow. Cent. China, 4,000-8,000 ft. altitude.—Probably useful in mild climates and moist places for covering slopes.
