While all plants will burn if they are sufficiently dry enough, some plants are more fire resistant than others. As such, one of the aspects of Fire Safe Landscaping involves the selection of plants with a known resistance to burning while avoiding those known for being readily flammable. Another advantage of fire resistant plants is that they are often Drought Tolerant as well, thereby reducing the need for water.
