Salvia holwayi

An evergreen perennial with lush and dense deep green cascading foliage and with clusters of dark red flowers. Grows 3 - 4 feet high with ample spread.

Hardy to 20 degrees F although top may die back. Blooms late fall through early spring. From Mexico and Guatemala.

Plan in full sun or partial shade. Likes rich humus and moderate water. Prune to ground occasionally after bloom.
