Colax (Greek, parasite). Orchidaceae. Epiphytic orchids, much like Lycaste. Pseudobulbous: fls. in an upright raceme, arising from the base of the new shoot; sepals and petals similar, the lateral sepal forming a distinct foot with the base of the column; lip 3-lobed, clawed, with a transverse hairy process; pollinia 4.—A Brazilian genus of 2 species.
