Sedum populifolium, Pall. Subshrub, with fibrous roots, glabrous: sts. 6-10 in. high, greenish or purplish, slender, branched: lvs. alternate, distant, l 1/2 x 1 in., petioled, ovate, acute, base cordate, coarsely and irregularly toothed; petiole 3/4 – 1 1/4 in. long: fls. numerous, nearly 1/2 in. across, whitish or pinkish, in terminal, much-branched, corymbose cymes; sepals lanceolate; petals lanceolate, 1-nerved; anthers purple. Siberia. B.M. 211. Gn. 27, p. 316. U.K. 1857, p. 150.—Readily distinguished by the long-petioled, poplar-like lvs. A good border or rockwork plant, also useful as a pot-plant. CH
