Mountain Skullcap (Scutellaria montana Chapm.), also known as the Large-flowered Skullcap, is an endangered herb in the United States. The herb is found in the Eastern United States, particullarly in the Appalachian Mountains, from New York, to the Southern states of Tennessee and Alabama.
Skullcap is considered to be a sedative and nerve tonic. The herb also used to be used as a folk remedy for rabies.
