Iris cypriana, Foster & Baker. Plants tall, the bearing many fls. in. diam.: outer is. obovate-cuneate, idish lilac, with thin, darker veins; claw whitish, with greenish brown veins; inner segms. oblong-unguiculate, lilac, spotted with reddish brown on the claw. June, July. Cyprus.— Very near I. pallida, from which it differs only by the longer nayicular spathe-valves, which are not entirely scarious at flowering-time, and the more obovate segms.
