Iris juncea, Poir. (Xiphium junceum, Klatt). St. slender, erect, rigid, 9-18 in. high, bearing 1 (rarely 2) golden yellow fls., 2-3 in. diam.: lvs. rigid, slender, rush-like, 18-24 in. long: outer segms. with an orbicular blade shorter than the cuneate claw, it-curved and veined with brown; inner segms. erect, oblanceolate. May, June. Algeria, Tunis, etc. B.M. 5890. Gn. 54:470.
