Telopea oreades (Gippsland Waratah or Victorian Waratah) is a large shrub or small tree from Australia in the family Proteaceae.[1][2]

It grows to 12 metres high and has narrow-obovate to spathulate leaves, which are 11 to 28 cm long and 1.5 to 6 cm wide. Crimson flowers appear between October and December in its native range, the flowerheads comprising 36 to 60 individual flowers with green to pink bracts.[2][3] These are followed by leathery to woody fruits which are 5 to 7.5 cm long.[4]
