Biological classification or scientific classification in biology, is a method by which biologists group and categorize species of organisms. Classification of plants is based on grouped species according to shared physical characteristics, and today DNA is driving many revisions as it becomes clear which plants are related to which others. Biological classification belongs to the science of biological systematics.
