Spiraea cana, Waldst. & Kit. Dense, bushy shrub, 3 ft. high: lvs. elliptic to oblong, acute at both ends, usually entire, grayish pubescent on both sides, more densely beneath, 1/3 - 1 in. long: fls. 1/4 in. across, in dense head-like umbels; petals about as long as stamens; sepals reflexed in fr.
