Primula concinna, Watt. Very small but very handsome species, the whole plant in the wild not more than 1 in. high and growing in cushion-like clumps: lvs. about 1/2 in. long, oblanceolate, acute or obtuse, entire or crenulate, yellowish farinose beneath: scape very short, not exceeding the lvs., with a 2 - 5-fld. umbel: bracts short, linear-oblong: fls. rose-purple varying to white, with notched yellow corona, the corolla-tube equaling the calyx, the lobes obcordate. High Himalayas; a charming alpine. R.H.S. 39:208.
