Helichrysum orientale, Gaertn. (Gnaphalium orientale, Linn.). St. simple, 1 ½ ft. or less tall: lvs. oval-oblong to lanceolate, obtuse, sessile, rather small: heads bright yellow, small, globular, in corymbs. S. Eu. to Asia Minor. G. 1:805.—Much cult, in Medit. regions, but little known in this country.
