Hevea guianensis, Aubl. (Siphtmia Cahitchu, Willd. S. elastica, Pera.). Sebinga. Tree, to 60 ft. high: lfts. obovate, base acute, apex obtuse, 3—5 in. long: panicle tomentose: staminate buds obtuse; stamens 5 in 1 whorl. French Guiana to the Amazon. H.I. 2573.— Intro, but rarely cult, for rubber, J. B. S. Norton.
