The large inflorescences are shaped like a cone, at first pale green then turning a strong red. Out of these the white with light yellow lip fragrant flowers bloom in late summer. Cut flowers last long. Stalks and leaves are erect and very ornamental. Dark green shiny leaves are on arching stems. The leaves and stalks are also fragrant.
