Monarda ramaleyi, A. Nelson. Similar to M. fistulosa but softly and lanately white-pubescent, densely so at the nodes: lvs. lanceolate or narrowly ovate; petioles short, lanately pubescent as are also the midribs of the lvs.: involucral lvs. scarcely purple-tinged: corolla lavender. Cent. Colo.—This species is catalogued as being dwarf, 1-2 ft., bearing bright clover-red fls.
