Miltonia warscewiczii, Reichb. f. (Odontoglossum Weltonii, Hort. Oncidium fuscatum, Reichb. f. Oncidium Weltonii, Hort. M. Weltonii, Hort.). Pseudobulbs 3-5 in. long, much flattened: lvs. linear-oblong, obtuse, 5-6 in. long: fls. 2 in. long from the tips of the lip to that of the upper sepal, numerous, borne in a branched nodding panicle; sepals and petals cuneate-obovate, waved and crisped, pale reddish brown, with whitish tips; labellum oblong, fan-shaped, bifid, white, with a large rose-purple disk on the center of which is a large, brownish yellow blotch. March. Peru. B.M. 5843. F. 8.18:1831. Var. leucochila, Hort. Fls. pale purple; lower half of lip ruby-purple.
