Begonia ingramii, Hort. (B. nitida x B. fuchsioides). Fig. 521. Combines the characters of the two species: very free-flowering and makes a most desirable bedding plant, and also blooms well in winter: fls. rose, large: foliage tinted with red when exposed to the sun. The horizontal blooming side branches are characteristic of this plant as a greenhouse subject.—Intro. by Ingram in 1849.
