Begonia scharffiana, Regel. Fig. 522. A robust herbaceous perennial, 1-3 ft. high: Lvs. large, thick, fleshy, hairy, olive-green above, crimson below: stipules very large and prominent: fls. waxy white with red hairs on under surface of petals, large.
