Aerides crassifolium, Par. & Reichb. f. Lvs. up to 8 in. long and 2 in. wide: racemes longer than lvs.; fls. loosely arranged, 1-1/2 in. long; sepals and petals rose-purple, paler at the base; lip 3-lobed, the lateral lobes rose-purple, nearly lunate or crescent-shaped, the broadly ovate middle lobe deep rose-purple; spur curved, greenish at the tip.
