Amomum cardamon, Linn. Cardamon. Plant, 4-8 ft.: Lvs. spicy, lanceolate: fls. brownish, in a recumbent spike. E. Indies.—Produces many of the seeds of commerce. Not to be confounded Elettaria Caradamomum (which see). Sometimes in growing collections of economic plants. Forms very large clumps. The above text is from the Standard Cyclopedia of Horticulture.
