Antholyza cunonia, Linn. Corm small, globose: st. simple, 1-1½ ft.: Lvs. about 4, linear, 1 ft. or less long: fls. 4-6, in a lax spike, bright red, tube an inch long, the stamens reaching to the tip of the upper segm: seeds discoid, winged. Cape. L.B.C. 20:1971 (as Anisanthes).
