Betula glandulosa, Michx. Only 1-4 Lvs. short - petioled, rounded or cuneate at the base, orbicular or broadly obovate, obtuse, dentate, glabrous, ¼-1½in. long: strobiles peduncled, ½-¾. long;lobes of scales nearly equal, slightly spreading; wings of nutlet sometimes as broad as its body. Newfoundland to Alaska, south to Mich., and in the Rocky Mts. To Colo. B.B. 1:510.
