Brunfelsia ramosissima, Benth. Lvs. oblong to nearly lanceolate, acuminate or obtuse, glabrous or rarely slightly hairy above and hairy or villous beneath: fls. large, in lax cymes, deep violet-purple, the corolla-tube twice longer than the calyx.—One of the best, with luxuriant foliage; may be grown cooler in winter than the other species. Probably a form of B. calycina.
