Gunnera magellanica, Lam. A very small species with dark green lvs.: stoloniferous: lvs. orbicular-reniform, crenate, 2 ½ in. or less broad: male scape surpassing the lvs., female shorter: fls. apetalous, the male pedicelled, the female sessile. Chile south, and Falkland Isls.
