Hippomane mancinella, Linn. Manchineel. Manzanillo. A much-branched tree, 20-40 ft., with thick naked twigs, terminated by the thick, smooth, broad-ovate, short- acuminate, minutely sharp-serrate, pear-like lvs. and thick spikes: fr. berry-like, about 1 in. thick.
