Ipomoea sagittata, Lam. (I. speciosa, Hallier, not Pers.). Sts. twining from a perennial root, slender and glabrous: lvs. strongly sagittate, short-petioled: fls. slender, about 3 in. long, purple. Marshes and fields, N. C. to Mex. and W. Indies.
