Ixia aristata, Ker. Corm globose, with strong fibers: lvs. 3-4, linear, strongly ribbed: st. slender, to 1 1/2 ft. high, simple or branched: fls. many, in a loose spike; perianth-tube slender (3/4in. or less); limb whitish (pink in B.M. 589), with oblong segms. Var. eiegans, Baker, has narrower and less rigid lvs., and much shorter tube.
