Kentiopsis macrocarpa, brongn. (kentia lindenii, hort., lind. kenlia luciani, Lind.). About 20 ft., usually less in cult.: rachis flat above, convex below. The form known as Kentia Luciani, has bright green lvs., tinged with brown on the under surface, the young petiole yellowish, later becoming brown. I.H. 24:276; 29:451. R.H. 1881:372. F. 1884, p. 71. S.H. 2:117.—The species is distinguished by the reddish tinge of the young lvs.
