Lolium multiflorum, Lam. (L. italicum, A. Br.). Italian Rye-grass. Regarded by many as a variety of the preceding. Differs chiefly in having longer awns to the florets. Ibid 302.—This form of rye-grass is common on the Pacific Coast as a weed in open ground. It is there often called Australian rye-grass.
