Slender shrubby perennial, with terete sts. which are glabrous or with lines of hairs: lvs. small, ovate - oblong, serrate: fls. many, small, the petals red in lower part, and rose-color with violet margins in upper part; posterior petals with 2 glands; sepals spreading. Mex., Guatemala. — Probably confused with the last.
