Mitriostigma axillare, Hochst. (Gardenia cilriodora, Hook.). Lvs. opposite, petiolate, elliptic-lanceolate, subacuminate, glabrous; stipules awl-shaped from a broad base: calyx not ribbed, lobes lanceolate, acuminate, equal; corolla salver-shaped, the tube twice as long as the calyx, lobes obovate, obtuse: fr. oval.
